Course curriculum
Introduction to Data Analytics3 lessons
Meet the job: turning a question into an answer backed by data. Then learn the vocabulary every table shares: observations, variables, and the kinds of values a column can hold.
Types of Data Analytics4 lessons
Every analysis answers one of four questions. Learn to spot which one you are being asked, because each needs different data, methods and wording in the answer.
Analysis and Reporting with Excel5 lessons
Label rows with IF, measure time with DATEDIF, pull prices across sheets with VLOOKUP, tidy messy text, and summarise columns with SUM, COUNT, AVERAGE, MIN and MAX.
Data Collection4 lessons
Query databases, read CSV files without surprises, request data from APIs, and know when and how web scraping is fair game.
Data Cleanup4 lessons
Decide what to do with missing values, remove true duplicates, find outliers with the IQR rule, and transform columns so they can be compared and combined.
Descriptive Analysis4 lessons
Summarise a column with its mean, median and mode, measure its spread with range, variance and standard deviation, read its shape through skewness and kurtosis, and pick the chart that shows it.
